A staple in the Guillows Line!! Most of the kits in this series comes with 5 to 10 balsa parts that fit together with no glueing. Some come as noted with propeller and rubber band powered. Great fun for flying around the yard or in the park. Has printed wings, tail surfaces and canopy. Individually packaged in a poly bag. Skill level 1. Wing span measures from 9 to 16 inches.

I played with these when I was a kid in the 1950s and got a lot of mileage out of them. They're inexpensive, simple to assemble and the biggest risk is losing them in trees and on roofs. I bought two dozen for my grandchildren and it was a great idea. They involve mild physical activity, mild coordination, and a place to fly them (stay away from trees). A good, inexpensive and fun toy.

These are loads of indoor/outdoor fun for the grand kids, but they break easily. What I do is assemble them beforehand, and run a strip of wood glue over all the joints. This makes them stronger and they last a lot longer.

This balsa glider is a great classic toy. It goes together quickly and you can either pass it back and forth or take turns seeing who can throw it further. Great as a stocking stuffer or to get as party favors.

Hex bolts have a chamfered point to aid insertion into a tapped hole or nut. Length is measured from under the head.
Stainless steels are used for their corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, scaling resistance, and low-temperature toughness. These properties account for their extremely wide use in practically every industry. Austenitic Stainless Steels are alloys of iron and carbon that contain between 16% and 30% Chromium, a maximum of 0.15% carbon, along with Nickel (or Manganese), and other alloying elements. The chromium, which helps develop a passive surface oxide film, provides corrosion resistance in stainless steels. Austenitic Stainless Steels are designated by a 3 digit SAE Stainless Steel Grade beginning with the number 3 (e.g. 304, 316).
Stainless Steel 316 has a higher nickel and molybdenum content than most Austenitic stainless steels which means that this material offers more corrosion resistance without giving up strength or hardness. Tensile strength is 35,000 psi (pounds per square inch).
Hex head fasteners can be driven with simple wrenches, and require minimal clearance above the fastener because they can be driven or loosened from the side.
A threaded fastener's size name includes information about the major external diameter, followed by the threads per inch, which indicates if it is coarse or fine. Coarse threads are better when working with brittle materials; they are sturdier and are easier to thread and unthread compared to fine. Coarse threading also allows for thicker coatings and platings.
Hex Bolts feature a chamfered point
Stainless Steel 316 is suitable for use where Stainless Steel 304 does not provide enough corrosion resistance
Hex head for easy driving
Length is measured from under the head
Coarse threads are better for brittle materials, and will assemble and disassemble more quickly than fine threads
I don't know what you can say about 3/8" stainless steel bolts ? They arrived and they were correct, but in the end shorter than I needed, not the supplier's fault, mins ;)

My expectations for this Stainless Steel 316 Hex Bolt 1/4"-28 3-1/4" Length, were not high when I ordererd this product. I had spent about an hour searching the internets for a hex bolt with the propper threading. I had already visited those big named stores, but they did not carry the thread count in a long enough length. So when I came apon this gem on amazon, I had nothing to loose. The price was fair, so I took the plunge. I quivered at my front window waiting for the package to arrive for what seemed like an lifetime, but in all fairness the shipping time was fast if not regular. Apon recieving the Hex Bolts, I was astonished. They were high above my expectations of what a Hex Bolt could be. Briliant color, sharp lines, it mesmorized me. The engineer who thought up this baby must have been the offspring of a mortal and greek god. I had a hard time deciding to finally use them, they are like fancy art, but in the end my microwave had to be installed under the cabinet... Read more
